The University of Kentucky is pleased to offer a one-year Pediatric Ophthalmology and Adult Strabismus Fellowship. This rich and varied academic and clinical experience will prepare the successful graduate for the competent practice of comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. The division currently has six pediatric eye care faculty whose clinical services cover all of eastern Kentucky as well as parts of western Kentucky, providing a broad exposure to rural and urban ophthalmologic care. The fellow will obtain experience in all aspects of pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus, including amblyopia and strabismus, pediatric cataracts, pediatric glaucoma, retinopathy of prematurity, pediatric oculoplastics, lacrimal surgery, and adult strabismus. Our fellowship is in compliance with the Association of University Professors of Ophthalmology, enabling the successful graduate to become a full voting member of the American Association of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus.
